Comparison

Us, or an American AI receptionist?

There are good ones. Smith.ai, Rosie and Goodcall all do a decent job of answering an American plumber's phone. Here is an honest account of when one of them is the better buy, and when it isn't.

01The honest version

When you should buy the American one instead

We would rather tell you now than waste your twenty minutes.

Buy a US platform if

genuinely the better choice

  • You want it live this afternoon and will configure it yourself
  • Your needs are generic: take a message, book into a calendar, send a text
  • You do not need it to touch a CRM, a property system or a booking platform
  • You want to pay under £50 a month and accept thin integrations
  • Nobody in your business will ever need to ring a supplier and get a human

Talk to us if

where we are actually better

  • It has to read Reapit, Alto, Jupix, a PMS, ResDiary or a live availability sheet
  • Your customers are in the UK, or write in Portuguese, German or Spanish
  • Someone needs to be accountable in your timezone, by name, on WhatsApp
  • You want it tested against your own last month of messages before it goes live
  • You would rather someone set it up properly than hand you a dashboard

That last row is theirs, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If proven scale is what you need most, buy the proven one. If a system that actually reaches into your CRM is what you need most, that is the conversation to have with us.

Next step

Twenty minutes on the phone. Then a straight answer.

Tell us what you keep doing by hand. We'll tell you which workflow pays back first, what it costs, and whether it's worth doing at all. If it isn't, we say so.
